The Family We Plan to Help

Daniel Thomas is a Knoxville teen suffering a life threatening medical condition. He's lost both kidneys and has cardiac complications. Because of his heart condition, he has been removed from the Donor list for a new kidney.

Daniel is able to reside at home for now. But, he requires full-time medical care and numerous doctor & hospital visits. As a result, his mom, Sarah, a single mother of three, is unable to work. Instead, she does what any loving mother would do: She cares for her son full-time.

-----------------------------------------

Please join us in blessing Sarah! During the week of, December 14-23 we're seeking donations to help pay their family's Christmas gifts and essential living expenses (food, clothing and shelter). Anything you can give is greatly appreciated. As a "Thank You" for your donation, we've provided original desktop backgrounds (in the right column of this page) for you to use on your computer.

If you live in Knoxville, please contact Christina or Dez (865.591.1133 or mrscmdavis@hotmail.com) directly to make a donation. If you'd like to know more about this family or want to donate items instead of cash, please contact me for details. We can also pick up items from local donors. Otherwise, you may make a donation by clicking the Paypal button at the top of the page or mailing donations to our home.

Thank you for any gift you can give! PRAYERS ARE DEFINITELY WELCOME!

*The names of the family have been changed.

Day 2 Update

Together, we've increased the amount this family will receive to $147 and we're waiting to receive another donation mailed from a Knoxville resident.

1. Anonymous Donor
2. Lisa Benavides
3. Wilma Helton
4. Carolyn Johnson (repeat donor)

Help us spread the word by putting our blog address (http://mybiggive2.blogspot.com) in your Twitter, Facebook, and Myspace status updates! Every single prayer and donation helps. Remember, you can contribute items if you do not want to contribute cash. We're also collecting Food, Toiletries, Gas Giftcards (for the multiple trips to the doctor), and toys.

Thanks again!
